This means dogs absorb more of the nutrients provided in their food. Studies published in Translational Animal Science have shown that commercial fresh dog foods outperform extruded kibble in macronutrient digestibility, with particularly strong results observed in human-grade fresh diets.

Reduced Fecal Output and Improved Stool Quality: Dogs fed fresh diets typically produce significantly less fecal matter and firmer stools.
